Szpital Heleny Wolf

Wszystko się zaczęło listopadowego poranka.
Uniosła się nad poduszkę głowa matki.
Pokazała ciało matce pielęgniarka.
Ojciec wbiegł po schodach trzymając kwiatki.
Brat czekał już w domu. Rodzina szczęśliwa.
Drugi syn na świecie dodaje męskości,
Kiedyś będzie z tego powodu stypa
Tymczasem pretekst do przyjęcia gości.
Jest miasto. Duże miasto. Wielkie miasto.
Pełno ludzi. Jest tam ciasno. Hałas maszyn
raz usypia a raz budzi.
Jest szpital. Ciemny szpital. Duże okna
W starym stylu. Tam łóżko i łóżeczko
Wtem! Przefrunął nietoperz!...może tylko muszka
( często myli się gówno z alabastrem)
Jest miasto. Duże miasto. Wielkie miasto.
Pełno ludzi. Jest tam ciasno. Hałas maszyn
raz usypia a raz budzi.
Jest szpital. Ciemny szpital. Duże okna
W starym stylu. Tam łóżko i łóżeczko
A w nim ja ciągle bawię się piłeczką.
Każdy obraz wciskający się pod wilgotne oczy
Trafia mnie dokładnie w oba jądra.
Zdewastowany szpital w rymie z życiem kroczy
Moczy sen i dzień wita mokra kołdra.
Wszedłem tu w nocy przypadkiem bez latarki
Niespodziewanie jak zjawiłem się na świecie.
Otwarty w umyśle plik z dźwiękiem koparki
Moje myśli uciska wierci, trzęsie, gniecie.
Zaraz przeznaczony będzie do rozbiórki.
Odkują z poszarpanych mysli chore cienie czerni?
Wielkie miasto.
Pełno ludzi. Jest tam ciasno. Hałas maszyn
raz usypia a raz budzi.
Jest szpital. Ciemny szpital. Duże okna
W starym stylu. Tam pusto. Jest noc.
W niej ja. We mnie coś.
Znalazłem w kieszeni zapałek pudełko
A w kącie izby przyjęć stary denaturat
Spod nóg pierzchnął spłoszony czarno-biały kot
Po chwili ogniem zajęła się cała struktura.
Jest miasto. Duże miasto. Wielkie miasto.
Pełno ludzi. Jest tam ciasno. Hałas maszyn
raz usypia a raz budzi.
Jest szpital. Jasny szpital. Płoną okna
W rzymskim stylu.
Ja ukryty w tłumie gapiów
kontempluję swój wyrób.

english: HELENA WOLF HOSPITAL ( translation: Alicja Grabarczyk)
Everything started on one November morning.
Mother raised her head above the pillowcase.
The nurse showed mother the body.
Holding flowers, father ran up the stairs.
Brother was waiting at home. The family is happy.
Birth of the second son is masculinising.
One day it will be a reason for a wake,
meanwhile it is an excuse for inviting guests.
There's a city. A big city. A great city.
Lots of people. There's a crowd.
Noise of the machines puts to sleep, or wakes you up.
There's a hospital. A dark hospital. Big antique windows.
There's a bed and there's a crib,
and there I am, playing with a ball in it.
Now I am standing on the stairs father ran up.
A crooked banister, a breach here and there.
A line of cables pulled out of the ceiling
runs right above my head. A small gap between us.
Luckily the electricity was shut off long ago.
I will not be reduced to smell of burning now.
I will not die in the place where I was born.
I will try to bear life's burdens some more.
The beds from delivery room have been scrapped
On the walls writings in different styles made with a marker.
Then suddenly! A bat! ...or perhaps just a fly
(it is easy to mistake shit for alabaster)
There's a city. A big city. A great city.
Lots of people. There's a crowd.
Noise of the machines puts to sleep or wakes you up.
There's a hospital. A dark hospital. Big antique windows.
There's a bed and there's a crib
And there I am, still playing with a ball in it.
Every image forcing itself under my moist eyes
Hits directly in my two testes.
Desolate hospital rhymes with life
Wets my dream and a new day is greeted by a wet duvet.
I came here at night by chance, without a torch
As unexpectedly as when I came into the world.
Open file with a sound of excavator in my head
Pinches my thoughts, drills, shakes, squeezes them.
Soon it will be earmarked for demolition.
Cranes will crawl in with other gear, with rollers
They will built tin closets for the workers
Architect will draw a new outline with his index finger.
Will my life change miraculously with it?
Will the workmen's reflective helmets enter my body
and chip off from ragged thoughts the sick shadows of darkness?
Do I still have enough time?
Where I left the hole, a ruined hospital,
turned into rubble and ashes, will it drag me down?
Do the architects have plans for me as well?
After all, I too would like to get a new lease of life.
There's a city. A big city. A great city.
Lots of people. There's a crowd.
Noise of the machines puts to sleep or wakes you up.
There's a hospital. A dark hospital. Big antique windows.
It is empty. It is night
I am there with something inside.
I found a box of matches in my pocket
And some old SD alcohol in emergency room corner.
A frightened black and white cat scampered between my legs
A few seconds later the whole construction was in flames.
There's a city. A big city. A great city.
Lots of people. There's a crowd.
Noise of the machines puts to sleep or wakes you up.
There's a hospital. A bright hospital.
Roman-style windows are burning down.
Hidden among the onlookers
I contemplate on what I have done.

Bez matki

BEZ MATKI
Spaliłem szpital. Zburzyłem kościół.
Z głowy strzepnąłem popiół.
Po długiej ciszy blask przed oczami
wyzwolił śmiech miedzy zębami.
Znalazłem na pustyni wodę,
zwilżyłem usta obmyłem twarz.
Spojrzałem w taflę podniosłem głowę
Wdeptałem w piach swój strach.
Bez matki!
Bez ojca!
Nareszcie sam do końca!
Suburbia i lotniska natychmiast
Stały się dla mnie dostępne
Mogę odwiedzać tysiące miast
Nie dbając o liczby bezwzględne
Pociąg, autobus, tramwaj czy metro,
TV, internet sygnał z komórki,
już nie zagłuszą i nie odwleką
zabicia we mnie syna i córki.
Bez matki!
Bez ojca!
Nareszcie sam do końca!

NO MOTHER translation: Alicja Grabarczyk
I burnt the hospital. I knocked down the church.
I shook off the ash from my head.
After long silence, the brightness before my eyes
released laughter from between my teeth.
I found water in the desert,
I moistened my lips and washed my face.
I looked at the surface, raised my head.
And trod my fear into the sand.
No mother!
No father!
At last, alone till the end!
Suburbs and airports instantly
Became accessible
I can visit thousands of cities
Disregarding absolute figures
A train, bus, tram or the underground
TV, internet, mobile phone signal,
Will no longer deaden or stall
The killing of my inner daughter and son.
No mother!
No father!
At last, alone till the end!

BEAUTY translation:Alicja Grabarczyk
Beauty, when gas rises, when it sweeps the forehead,
When small blocks of flats outside, are make-up or a camouflage.
Beauty, when a balloon pops, body falls down with the basket.
Unconscious, on a stretcher the pilot is laid.
Wholeness is whole
Greatness is great
Smallness is small
Beauty is beautiful.
Beauty, when in a a hospice someone wakes up from a coma.
Beauty, when at night in a hangar he mends ragged material.
Beauty, when all are asleep, the whole city is empty and dark
There is only thunder in the background supported by black rain.
Wholeness is whole
Greatness is great
Smallness is small
Beauty is beautiful
Beauty, when an unidentified object rips the clouds.
In the middle of an alien cubature: one module recognized!!!
Wholeness is whole
Greatness is great
Smallness is small
Beauty is beautiful.

MINISTRANT
Żyłem w kłamstwie!
Udawałem, że cię kocham
Lecz naprawdę zadawałem
ci dziesiątki kłutych ran.
Żyłem w kłamstwie!
Kiedy twoje stopy całowałem
W źrenicach zamiast żaru
Dwa sztylety miałem.
Żyłem w kłamstwie!
Odwracałem się od ciebie w ciemności
Kiedy oślepiało mnie twe światło
Udawałem stan miłości
Żyłem w kłamstwie!
Teraz inaczej żyje
I nie potrzebuję
już nikogo by się modlić.
Jestem robakiem na dnie,
ale dla mnie
dla każdego Pana
Nie ma mnie!!!
Żyłem w kłamstwie,
gdy posłusznie sprzątałem świątynię
zostawiałem w chrzcielnicy
swoje nasienie.
Po ostatniej wieczerzy
machałem ci na pożegnanie.
Rano z inną sektą
jadłem już śniadanie.
Żyłem w kłamstwie!
Teraz inaczej żyję
I nie potrzebuję
już nikogo by się modlić.
Jestem robakiem na dnie,
ale dla mnie
dla każdego Pana
Nie ma mnie!!!

CHOIR BOY translation: Alicja Grabarczyk
I lived a lie!
I pretended that I loved you
But the truth is, I was giving
you dozens of puncture wounds.
I lived a lie!
When I kissed your feet
Instead of ardour
I shoot daggers with my eyes.
I lived a lie!
I turned my back at you in the dark
Simulated a state of love
Blinded by your light.
I lived a lie!
Now I live in a different way
And I do not need
anyone to pray.
I'm a worm at the bottom,
but for me
for any Lord
I do not exist!!!
I lived a lie,
when obediently cleaning up the temple
in baptismal font
I would leave my semen.
After the last supper
I waved you farewell.
In the morning I had breakfast
with another sect.
I lived a lie!
Now I live in a different way
And I do not need
anyone to pray.
I'm a worm at the bottom,
but for me
for any Lord
I do not exist!!!

STRUKTURA
Czekać na swoją śmierć
z wpatrzonymi w czaszkę oczami.
Zabić się w słoneczny dzień
Ogolony i z czystymi butami.
Na pamięć kolory wszystkie znać
I każdą szczelinę w murze
Strukturze szumu się przyglądać
W odłączonym telewizorze.
Na lewo! Na prawo!
W dół lub w górę!
Nawet z raną krwawą
Zniszczę tę strukturę!
Ułożyć foliowy stos
Z rezerwowymi odbytami
Przeterminować przyszłość
I zniknąć jak pagoda po tsunami.
Powiedzieć do pustki:” Wstań!”
Wykonać pierwszy własny ruch.
Na drugim brzegu lśni przystań.
Tam już czekają na oddanie honorów.
Na lewo! Na prawo!
W dół lub w górę!
Nawet z raną krwawą
Zniszczę tę strukturę!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRUCTURE translation: Alicja Grabarczyk
To wait for your own death
With eyes staring at the skull.
To kill yourself on a sunny day
In clean shoes, shaved.
To know all colours by heart
And every crack in the wall
In unplugged TV set
To watch the structure of noise.
To know all cracks in the wall
And all colours by heart
In unplugged TV set
To watch the structure of noise.
To the left! To the right!
Up or down!
Even with a bleeding wound
I will wipe this structure out!
To pile up a folio stake
With backup rectums
To expire the future
And like a pagoda after tsunami, fade.
To say “Arise!” to emptiness.
To make the first move on your own.
On the other side a harbour shines.
They are already waiting there for tributes to pay.
To the left! To the right!
Up or down!
Even with a bleeding wound
I will wipe this structure out!

Są oczy i jama
A język wśród nich
Zaraza ruina

Jest biodro miednica
Pochwa i penis
Noga i nic
Zaraza ruina
Wszystko gruz i kurz
Nic pod
Nic nad
Nic! Nic!

ODÓR
Mężczyzny kobieta,
kobiety mężczyzna.
Zbyt długo trwał związek,
lecz bali się przyznać.
Na sofie kobieta,
w podłodze mężczyzna.
Ona z papierosem,
na nim świeża blizna.
Ubrana od rana do rana
w odór nie swojego ciała.
Na gorącym uczynku złapana.
Zabrana, zabrana, zabrana.
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Na sofie z Ikei
siedzi kobieta.
Nie ma już nadziei.
Podnieta nie była ta.
Na poręcz balkonu
wchodzi mężczyzna.
Nie powie nikomu już
miłosnych wyznań.
Dół! Dół! Dół! Dół!
Dół! Dół! Dół! Dół!
Dół! Dół! Dół! Dół!
Dół! Dół! Dół! Dół!
Na dole kobiety.
Na dole mężczyźni.
Wszyscy chcą zobaczyć
jak ginie ich bliźni.

STENCH translation: Alicja Grabowska
Man's woman
Woman's man
Liaison lasted too long but [relationship]
They were afraid to admit that.
Woman on the sofa
Man in the ground
Her, with a cigarette
Him, with a fresh scar.
From morning, from morning
Dressed in stench of another body
She was caught red handed
Taken, taken, taken.
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
On a sofa from Ikea
The woman sits
She has got no more hope
The spur was not it.
The man climbs
Up the balustrade
He won't be giving declarations
Of love again.
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Down! Down! Down!
Below there are women
Below there are men
They all want to see
Their fellow creature's death.
